Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information FitCalc ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using FitCalc you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Calculator inputs
Height, weight, age, training data and similar values you enter into our tools are processed entirely in your browser to compute your result. They are not transmitted to us. Some tools (for example the Progress tracker) save data in your browser's local storage so it's there when you return. This stays on your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and third-party services may automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and pages visited. This is used for security, troubleshooting and aggregate statistics.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:
- Essential cookies / local storage — to remember your cookie choice and to power features like the progress tracker. These are always active because the site can't function properly without them.
- Advertising & analytics cookies — set by third parties (see below) to measure traffic and to show ads. These run only after you accept them in our consent banner where consent is required.
3. Advertising — Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display ads, which helps keep FitCalc free. As a third-party vendor, Google uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to FitCalc and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu.
- For more information on how Google uses data, see Google's Privacy & Terms.
4. Consent (EEA, UK and similar regions)
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with comparable rules, we ask for your consent before non-essential (advertising/analytics) cookies are set. We use Google Consent Mode so that these services default to a "denied" state until you accept. You can change your decision at any time by clearing your browser's site data for FitCalc, which will make the consent banner appear again.
5. Affiliate links
Some pages — particularly our supplement guides — contain affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Clicking such a link may pass standard referral information (like the fact you came from FitCalc) to the destination retailer, which has its own privacy policy. See our Terms & Disclosures for more.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, to object to processing, or to withdraw consent. Because we don't maintain accounts or store your calculator inputs on our servers, most of "your data" lives in your own browser and is under your direct control. For anything else, contact us using the details below.
7. Children
FitCalc is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above when we do. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
